Member Resources

Only real estate licensees who are members of the National Association of Realtors® may use the term REALTOR®. All members are required to abide by the National Association of REALTORS® Code of Ethics, and state and federal Fair Housing Laws.

CWBR is a strong organization because of member involvement. We encourage you to participate by joining one or more of our committees or volunteering to serve in a leadership capacity.

CWBR offers on-going education to assist members in keeping current with new regulations and legislation affecting real estate and to satisfy continuing education requirements. All Wisconsin real estate licensees are required to complete a specific number of hours of education on topics determined by the DRL each biennium. Educate yourself by becoming familiar with the bylaws, policies and procedures of the CWBR.

General membership meetings are held at locations throughout the CWBR's jurisdiction. Due to the large geographical jurisdiction of the CWBR, meetings of more regional interest are also held in the Dunn-Pepin and Northern Waters areas. Meetings provide an opportunity for members to network in a relaxed atmosphere and hear a short presentation on a topic relating to real estate or the community.

The Central Wisconsin Board of REALTORS operates the Central Wisconsin Multiple Listing Service. The service consists of 100 Firms and 475 REALTOR Members. Our primary jurisdiction is Marathon, Portage, Wood, Clark & Taylor counties. With limited service in Lincoln and Langlade Counties.

The system is a cloud based computer system and has information on over 60,000 listings. Limited property data appears on, this website, and websites of brokers who participate in the Internet Data Exchange and RETS programs. CWBR also facilitates an electronic lockbox system offering secure, cooperative access to For Sale properties.

Should you opt to leave the real estate industry, move to another brokerage, or simply change contact information (name, preferred phone, email address, etc) be sure to notify the CWBR office.
